Sopuruchi Rufus is an Associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Department, specialising in Intellectual Property Protection/Litigation, Trade Mark Registrations, and Licensing Agreements. She also leverages her comprehensive legal knowledge and industry insights to provide strategic legal counsel to clients in the Technology, Entertainment, Media, and Sport (TEMS) Sector of the Firm.

 

With an LL.B from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School (First Class Honours), she brings a wealth of legal knowledge to her role.

Sopuruchi routinely advises local and international clients on various transactions, including licensing agreements, fundraising, and intellectual property protection. Her meticulous approach ensures compliance with legal regulations while maximizing clients’ interests and protecting their intellectual property rights.

 

She holds memberships of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) – Lagos Branch, the NBA- SBL (Nigerian Bar Association- Section on Business Law), and the International Trademark Association.

 

In 2023, Sopuruchi was nominated as Tech Lawyer of the Year by the Non-Tech in Tech Community. This recognition stems from her various contributions to the Technology Law Industry in Nigeria.
