Christian Aniukwu is the Managing Partner at Stren & Blan Partners, where he leads the Intellectual Property (IP) Practice Group and oversees the Firm’s Technology, Entertainment, Media, and Sports sector. He is widely regarded as a leading figure in the intellectual property space, with consistent recognition as a World Leader (Nigeria) by the World Intellectual Property Review (WIPR) from 2023 to 2026.
He has also been consecutively ranked as a notable practitioner by Managing IP (IP Stars) and the World Trademark Review (WTR) since 2023. In further recognition of his cross-sector expertise, Christian is ranked in the Chambers Global 2026 guide for Intellectual Property & TMT, highlighting his work across intellectual property, technology, and media-related engagements. Notably, he is one of only two Nigerian lawyers recognised globally as an IP Strategist, earning inclusion in both the prestigious IAM 300: The World’s Leading IP Strategists and the IAM 1000: The World’s Leading Patent Professionals.
Christian currently serves as the Chairman of the Intellectual Property Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law (NBA-SBL). He also chairs the New Wigs Induction and Placement Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association, Lagos Branch.
An active contributor to both local and international legal communities, he is affiliated with several professional bodies, including the Nigerian Bar Association, the Intellectual Property Law Advocacy Network, and the International Trademark Association (INTA), where he is a member of the Anti-Counterfeiting Committee.
His contributions to the field have earned him global recognition, including being named a Top IP Lawyer by IPR Gorilla Magazine (India) and receiving the prestigious ESQ Nigerian Rising Star Award (Under-40 category).
Beyond his professional achievements, Christian is a committed philanthropist and the Founder of the Sir Christian Aniukwu Foundation (SCAF).
