As external counsel to the Anambra State Electricity Policy and Law Working Group, we congratulate His Excellency, Prof. Chukwua Soludo and the entire State government on this transformative milestone that establishes the State’s electricity market and the Anambra State Electricity Regulatory Commission. We are pleased to have supported the Working Group in drafting and developing this legislation which provides a structured framework to support generation, transmission, system operation, distribution, and supply of electricity at the state level to attract investment and drive economic growth.
This legislation marks a bold step in Anambra’s energy transformation, reinforcing the Government’s commitment to sustainable power, and a competitive/investment-ready electricity sector.
